Following is a brief outline of what our club is all about.
The Macarthur District 4WD Club is a family and single membership club which is involved in a mixture of 4WDriving, driver education and training, camping, social events and day trips. The club has approx 70 memberships and it's main emphasis is on having a good time.
Organised day trips and weekend trips are run, and these range from easy to hard, catering for the novice to experienced drivers. Therefore you have a choice on which trip to attend and help and guidance is always available. We are conscious of the environment and believe in looking after the bush, as we want it to be there for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
We encourage all prospective members to participate in a club trip prior to membership commitment as an introduction to the club. Membership is open to all people interested in 4WDriving and current annual membership is $70.00(family)/$65.00(single) with an initial joining fee of $10.00. Discounted fee may apply to members joining from January to July. Membership with our club entitles you to discounts from all participating club sponsors, along with immediate membership with both State and National Recreational Four Wheel Drive Club Associations. Being a member of these associations enables you to access reduced insurance packages for your 4WD.
To find out more about the club you are invited to attend one of our general meetings. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month (except January), 7:30pm at Harrington Park Community Centre, Fairwater Drive, Harrington Park. As meetings are sometimes held at different locations, it is suggested you contact one of the committee members to confirm the meeting location.
